Alexa is always listening to you and waiting for your command. If that ever makes you or someone else feel awkward, mute your device’s microphones.
To mute the Amazon Echo or Echo Dot, press the microphone button on the top. The LED ring should glow red, letting you know that Alexa can’t hear you at that moment. This way, you don’t expect her to carry out voice commands she can’t hear you give. Press the button again to turn your Amazon Echo's microphones back on. |
